Counseling Services

We offer counseling services for all populations including children, adolescents and adults.  We offer individual, couples, family therapy, and many different options for group work.  Our staff is continually training, developing and growing so if you don’t see a treatment or service that you are looking for, give us a call. If you have Medicare insurance, you need a counselor that is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  We have numerous Licensed Clinical Social Workers on staff and can match that need.

Individual Therapy

You Deserve to be Happy

Individual therapy is a process through which you work one-on-one with a trained therapist—in a safe, caring, and confidential environment—to explore your feelings, beliefs, or behaviors, work through challenging situations or influential memories, identify aspects of your life that you would like to change, better understand yourself and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change.

Child & Adolescent

Being a teen is tough

As children and adolescents grow, they are constantly in the process of developing the social skills and emotional intelligence necessary to lead healthy, happy lives. When children experience emotions or engage in behaviors that interfere with their happiness and ability to thrive, they may benefit from meeting with a counselor.  We see children and adolescents.  Often this is along with a parent or parents. Therapy can be a safe space in which to address the thoughts, feelings, and emotions experienced by your child.  You, as the parent, can also find support and guidance as you walk through more difficult stages with your child.

Parenting

When parenting becomes overwhelming

Parenting and being part of a family, though rewarding, may still be one of the most difficult and time-consuming aspects of a person’s life. In addition to tending to an infant or child’s daily needs, you are also generally responsible for helping your children develop life skills, social skills, and appropriate behaviors, while accounting for the unique personality of each child as well as navigating your way around the rest of your family. If you are overwhelmed, you may find the support of a counselor to be helpful, particularly when faced with a difficult situation or behavioral concern.

Couples – Marriage

Is Love a Myth?

Couples counseling is offered to support people in relationships.  The focus may be to promote increased intimacy, communication, or assess whether to remain together. Although the relationship is the focus, individuals should also expect to focus on self-awareness and self-improvement.

Group Therapy

You thought it was just you

Group therapy is facilitated by a therapist with three to 12 group members involved.  Although, initially people can be intimidated by attending a group, it is a very powerful means of treatment, often attended in conjunction with individual therapy.  Being in a group allows you to realize you are not alone in what you are dealing with, gives you a safe place to have voice, facilitates giving and receiving support, helps you relate to others and yourself in healthier ways, and gives you a forum to learn and practice new skills while developing a network of support as you make changes in your life.
