Jacqui SchlundAssistant DirectorOffice Manager
Jacqui has been with Wholeness Healing Center since 2000. She has great impact in the success of the practice, keeping us organized and on-task and always improving on what we can offer you. She is the person we call upon to accomplish anything and everything. She has a finger in every project and an idea in the creation of it. Jacqui manages our staff and is the one to talk to if you have concerns about your services. She has a gentle healing quality and will put you at ease immediately in knowing that you will be well taken care of during your association with Wholeness Healing Center.SPECIALTIESJacqui specializes in creating systems for optimal performance at our practice. She has streamlined our business to be very organized and efficient. In doing so, she has cut job positions almost in half and greatly minimized errors in our bookwork. She often is writing a new computer program for us so we can better utilize the office staff's time. Jacqui is also our Chief Financial Officer. She does a phenomenal job managing payroll and our books. She is constantly running numbers and developing new ways for us to grow. Jacqui always has time to help either staff or clients with any problems and helps keep our office a very peaceful, well-run business. Jacqui understands the essence of Wholeness Healing Center and she is an advocate for people who come to work on their personal growth. She always strives to make all clientele feel very comfortable and cared about. If you encounter any problems or concerns, Jacqui would be the person to talk with. She goes out of her way to help our clients and truly cares how you feel.
Michelle ChoplinBilling Specialist
Michelle has been with Wholeness Healing Center since its inception. She is our billing specialist and takes care of all insurance and billing needs. Her expertise, knowledge, and sense of responsibility in making things go smoothly have been pivotal in the success and growth of Wholeness Healing Center. Due to her sense of responsibility, she does all she can to make sure that our clients are well taken care of with their third party payments from insurance companies. Whether it is providing information that is needed to ensure payment or timely billing for quick reimbursement, Michelle handles these with ease. She will also be there to communicate about your billing and payment needs, working with you in the best way possible.
EDUCATIONMichelle graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management.
EXPERIENCESince 1993 Michelle has worked in the mental health field as a billing specialist. Her first job was working for a psychiatrist in private practice. In 1998, she became a pioneer in starting her own home billing business. This is where she started working with Wholeness Healing Center. That same year, she also worked full time for Richard Young Hospital in their outpatient clinic. In 2004 Michelle came on site to Wholeness Healing Center in Grand Island.
Michelle continues to attend various insurance workshops to keep abreast of any billing changes or requirements.
Karla ParoIntake Specialist/Administrative Assistant
Karla joined Wholeness Healing in February of 2009. She is our Team Leader for managing the front desk and our Intake Specialist. Karla is a detailed-person who is perfect for managing everyone's schedules. She is the hub for our office and helps keep everything running smoothly.
EXPERIENCEKarla’s first employment was at Countryman & Associates, P.C. in the data processing department. After starting in the operations division, she soon became a self-taught computer programmer and worked there for 17 years in the Service Bureau, servicing a wide variety of businesses with their on-site programming needs. Employment after that was at the corporate office of Bosselman, Inc. for 6 years as AS/400 programmer/manager. Karla left Bosselmans to work with her husband, Craig in their self-owned computer programming business, Tiger on the Rock Software, to develop software for a mental health facility, as well as for various other businesses.
PERSONALKarla grew up on a small acreage just east of York, NE. After graduating from York High School, she moved to Grand Island to attend the Grand Island School of Business to major in business and accounting. Karla’s time off usually involves spending time with her grandkids, as well as riding with her husband on their Harley or in their 38 Chevy Streetrod. She also enjoys getting together with her monthly bunco and pinochle clubs, and of course, shopping!
Karla feels that at Wholeness Healing, the healing process begins as soon as you walk in the door, and she is eager to greet all who come in with a welcoming smile.
Susan MilnerEmployee Assistance Program Administrator
Susan Milner is the administrator of our Employee Assistance Program and has been with Wholeness Healing Center since January, 2012. She spends her time calling on businesses and finding ways to make their employees happy, healthy and more productive. Susan thoroughly enjoys making contacts with the business community, learning about their specific industry and then finding ways in which Wholeness Healing Center can assist in delivering “solutions that work for people at work”.
EXPERIENCESusan’s previous work experience consisted of ten years at the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce where she served as the Vice President of Membership Services. Prior to that she worked as a staff assistant and program manager for the Chamber and her experiences enabled her to work with a large variety of people and projects. She has spent the past ten years being a stay-at-home mom, full-time student and community volunteer.
EDUCATIONA graduate of Doane College, she is currently enrolled in the Masters of Counseling program at Doane College which will allow her to eventually become a licensed independent mental health practitioner. Susan’s goal is to work with people in order to help them find solutions for the issues affecting their lives, and the Wholeness Healing EAP aligns with that objective. She is always ready to establish relationships with people in the business community and assist them by providing an extensive menu of services for their employees. Wholeness Healing EAP focuses on the mental and emotional well-BEING of employees and provides the therapeutic component to enhance lives.
PERSONALOn a more personal note, she is married to Jerry and has two children, Rhett (12) and Molly (11) who keep her focused on the most important aspects of life. Susan’s personal mission in life is to reach her best potential and to help others achieve theirs also. In her leisure time she loves to play golf and be outdoors in nature. In addition, Susan also enjoys the creative writing process, reading great books and exploring spiritual truths.
