Hello, I'm
Kali Almond

Provisional Licensed Mental Health Practitioner

Kali Almond, PLMHP, received her Master’s Degree in Counseling in May 2011 from Denver Seminary and her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Utah in May 2007.

Kali is a school counselor who is thrilled to also work part-time at Wholeness Healing Center PC.  Kali takes pride in supporting individuals to strengthen their relationships and reach their goals through evidence-based counseling techniques, utilizing telehealth services. She specializes in using cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and solutions-focused therapy among other techniques to support and work with individuals.

Experience

Kali has over 10 years working in schools as a school counselor and a year working as a school-based therapist with Family Service Lincoln. This included offering telehealth services to individuals in grades K-12. She has provided individual and group counseling sessions to students regarding career development, academic achievement, social behavior skills, and mental and physical health needs.

Cultivating supportive, engaging and trauma-informed environments and services that allow for individuals to reach their full potential is one of Kali’s goals. She has experience working with diverse populations and continues to increase her scope of understanding each person’s unique and individual perspective.

Kali has had training in trauma and therapy, resiliency building, hope and wellness, bullying prevention, behavior management, stress management, grief healing, self-harm and prevention of suicide.

Personal

Kali enjoys spending time with her three school-age children and husband of 10 years.  They take on life as one big adventure through reading books, watching movies, traveling, going to Disney parks, hiking, playing in water, and camping as much as possible.
