Precautionary Health Measures for COVID-19

In an effort to be proactive and safe for our clients, we are working as healthcare providers to offer education and safety measures to ensure we are doing our part to contain any cases of COVID-19 that might come our way.

First

  • Practice good hygiene. Thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water. In the absence of soap and water, use hand sanitizer.
  • Use a tissue to cover coughs and sneezes. If you use a tissue, throw it away and promptly wash your hands. We have hand sanitizer in the waiting room.
  • Avoid touching your face including your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Stay home if you are sick; keep your children home if they are sick. Talk to your therapist about options for services through telehealth. This is a good option to maintain your ability to have services and still make healthy choices for you, your family and your community.
  • If you would like, you may wait in your car for you appointment and have your therapist text you when you can come straight into the therapist office. Work this out with your therapist if you would like to use this option.

Telehealth Options

  • If you are sick, and/or prefer to have your session through Telehealth, ask your therapist to set up these services.
  • To schedule this, the therapist needs your email address. Your therapist will email you a link to join the session.
    • If it preferable for you to connect physically to your internet connection using a LAN wire that plugs into the back of your modem. If that is not possible, and you use Wi-Fi, make sure you are near your router for a strong signal. Your internet connection can be more than enough, but if you are too far from your router, you will lose video quality.
  • Telehealth is an easy option and one that may make it easier to comply with suggested guidelines if you aren’t sure you are sick but want to proceed with caution. Please check in with us if you have questions or would like to consider Telehealth for your session.
