Nadine Stuehm, MSW, LMHP, PADAC, is working at Wholeness Healing Center as a part time therapist. Nadine graduated from Kearney State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work. She graduated from the University of Nebraska Omaha with her Masters in Social Work.
Experience
Nadine has experience working with a variety of individuals. Her Social Work background has provided her the opportunity to work in many different areas. Nadine currently serves as the internship coordinator for the Social Work program at the University of Nebraska and teaches classes with a special interest in Mental Health and Substance Abuse education. For the past eight years she has worked at Richard Young Hospital in Kearney Nebraska as the intake coordinator. Working in this acute psychiatric setting, Nadine gained experience working with individuals in crisis and making assessments regarding need for hospitalization or connecting people to community resources when hospitalization was not appropriate. This job sparked her interest in working with mental health/substance abuse and leads her to pursue a career change to provide counseling. She works part-time as a Hospice Social Worker with AseraCare Hospice and from personal and professional experience has a special interest in grief, loss and trauma.
Nadine received her provisional Chemical Dependency License in 2010 after completing the required classes from the University of Nebraska Kearney and completing her internship with South Central Behavioral Health services in Kearney. She gained experience working in an outpatient setting and learned about individual therapy, group work and drug court.
Her past experience are very diverse including, mental health, disability, aging population, medical social work, adoption, bereavement and cancer support groups. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience both through her work and personal life.
Special Areas of Interest
Nadine enjoys working with individuals who have substance abuse problems and addictions. She looks forward to working with individuals who seek help and connecting them with resources and skills to stay sober.
Nadine enjoys traveling, visiting new places, time with family and reading.
