Finding the Peace

Maintaining peace when life happens

Life is full of ups and downs. It is easy to have inner peace when life is going like we want it to go. But with life we will have ebb and flow – times when life is good and times when life isn’t so good. People often say they want to enjoy their moments but they are waiting for the other shoe to drop. They don’t want to get too happy as they fear it will be taken away from them.

We have to remind ourselves that life is going to have another shoe drop, as that is life. Life happens. But we can maintain our inner peace throughout the ebb and flow. Our moods don’t have to follow the highs and the lows. We can just maintain a constant state of inner peace. Focus on your moments. If you find yourself thinking about the past, come back to your moment, right now. If you find yourself thinking about the future, come back to the moment, right now. What is going on right in this moment? Right now, you are okay, the sun is out, the rain is cleansing, whatever it is . . . right now . . . stay present, enjoy the moment and practice inner peace.
