DBT Life Skill Group for Adolescents

This is a free group and is done via zoom. An intern counseling student will facilitate it.

This is a six-month skills group for adolescents, girls, and boys ages 13-18.  The group aims to treat adolescents who have particular difficulty managing strong emotions. This group will teach dialectical behavior strategies to adolescents.  These strategies cover four key areas, each designed to promote acceptance and change people’s lives.  Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotional Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness are skills that will be learned.  This group is not time-limited and may be started at any point.  Participants must be working with a therapist.

Call 308.382.5297 to be admitted.
