Introduction to Staff – Elaine Zutavern
My name is Elaine Zutavern and I am so excited to be joining Wholeness Healing as a provisional licensed mental health practitioner. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Wholeness during my internship and felt that I grew as a therapist while being a part of the Abbott Sisters Internship Program.
I took a very unique path in becoming a therapist. More than 20 years ago, I graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a degree in Elementary Education. Instead of entering the workforce right away, my husband and I decided that I would be a stay-at-home mom to raise our five children. That is until Covid hit and with the world shutting down and people losing connections, I realized something was missing from my already-abundant life. That was when I made the decision to go back to school to help others, the way I was once helped many years ago.
My aim is to provide a safe and warm therapeutic relationship that allows my clients to feel at ease and empowers them to be able to express themselves freely. It is my belief that each client already has inside them, wisdom, courage and fortitude even amidst their pain and suffering. I am dedicated to empowering my clients so that they can overcome their challenges, build resilience and cultivate a deeper understanding of themselves. I am accepting clients in the Grand Island and Broken Bow offices as well as through telehealth. I look forward to working with teens, adults, families and couples. I attended a training in Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy and am currently working on becoming certified so that I can share this healing modality with my clients.
I enjoy working out in my yard in my flowerbeds or garden, or being on the river kayaking and swimming in the warmer months. Throughout the year, I enjoy traveling and exploring new places, cooking/baking, spending time with family and friends and reading.
