Happy New Year

As the New Year rolls in and we release the old year it seems to be a holiday of reflection. Perhaps this is because New Year’s Day is the only holiday that focuses on time. Time, another year passed, a new year in front of us. There is something about the freshness of “new” that gives me energy. Maybe it is the idea of the potentiality of the new, letting go of the old, whether it is with great satisfaction from a good last year, or it is the feeling of really wanting to start anew due to the difficulties the last year has brought us.

I talked last year in the newsletter how it can be a great time to focus on our lives sculpting them in the way we want them to be. Yes, you can call it New Year’s Resolutions too. But I prefer to see this as a time for setting up road maps for our life of where we want to go, for reflecting how far in our journey we have come and then revamping plans to further our vision. It may be just different wording for the same thing, but when we talk about making our life more of what we want, whether we succeed in reaching our goals or only start to make progress that way, we are still on the road towards the vision we set up. The wording and the envisioning it in this way may keep us energized towards continuing on even when we fall short of our “resolutions” that we set.

Last year I suggested that you consider envisioning what you would like in your life in the areas of physical, emotional, spiritual, work, and relationships. If you did this last year take the time this New Year’s day to go back over your goals patting yourself on the back for furthering your efforts in growth and reevaluating where you would like to see further change in your life. If you are looking for some ideas of how to set your vision for this new year, you may want to reference last year’s article via our web site at www.wholenessheali.wpenginepowered.com. Remember, we really have to decide where we want to go before we can arrive there. On behalf of all of us here at Wholeness Healing Center we want to extend to you our gratitude for your presence in our lives. □
