Bobbi Barnes (she/her/hers) is a Provisionally Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner. Bobbi believes that mental health is a vital part of your life. She encourages self-care and loving yourself. She believes taking care of yourself and prioritizing your happiness is essential. Bobbi loves listening and truly getting to know people. She enjoys building strong relationships and creating a comfortable and safe space. Bobbi loves learning and continues to broaden her knowledge by attending educational trainings.

Bobbi first attended Central Community College in Hastings and graduated with her Associate’s Degree in Human Services in 2018. During her associate’s degree, she completed two practicums. Bobbi completed a practicum with Boys Town Central Nebraska. She also completed a practicum with South Central Behavioral Services in the Children Services Department and was hired on after. Bobbi worked as a support staff and Interim Resource Development Specialist. She then attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney and graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work in 2020. She completed her internship at CHI Health St. Francis during her bachelor’s degree and was hired after. Bobbi worked as a Medical Social Worker in the Care Management Department. She then attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha and graduated with her Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2022. During her master’s degree, she completed the Abbott Sisters Internship Program (ASIP) at Wholeness Healing Center.

Bobbi currently lives in the Kearney area. She sees clients both in the Grand Island and Kearney offices. She also is seeing clients via telehealth. Bobbi enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She loves going outdoors and being active, as well as staying indoors and having a nice relaxing evening.
