Fabian Sevilla, PLMHP, received his master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling in December 2021 from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and his bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador in March 2018. Fabian is thrilled to be part of Wholeness Healing Center providing services as a full-time clinician. Fabian enjoys supporting individuals to promote their personal growth, as they strengthen their relationships and make important changes in their lives through evidence-based counseling techniques, both in person and by utilizing telehealth services. He specializes in using cognitive behavioral therapy, and person-centered therapy among other techniques to support and work with individuals. He also makes special use of language and linguistic skills to promote growth and better communication.
Fabian has over 5 years of experience working in different clinical settings, including an oncology hospital in Ecuador, the SAFE Center in Kearney, NE, and three different private practices, one in Ecuador and two in Nebraska. He has provided services in Nebraska, both in person and via telehealth to individuals of all ages. He also has experience providing mental health services in English and Spanish, as he is proficient in the former and a native speaker of the latter. One of the main goals that Fabian has as a counselor for clients is to promote healing from trauma and resentment, which often substantially helps to reduce or eliminate symptoms. Fabian has experience working with diverse populations and is consistently seeking to learn and understand different cultures and perspectives on life. Fabian has had training in psychodynamic theories and therapy, trauma-focused CBT, CAMS treatment for suicide, and solution-focused and Gestalt techniques.
Fabian has been married to his partner for over a year, with whom he has had a relationship for nearly 5 years. Fabian enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as board games, a diversity of TV and movies, and video games. Cooking has been his little-by-little acquired skill, but baking is what he enjoys the most. He sees himself as a kind person with a child’s spirit, which allows him to enjoy the simple things in life.
