Dr. Jody Detwieler is a licensed clinical social worker with a Doctorate in Social Work and over 20 years of combined experience as a mental health therapist and professor of sociology and psychology. Drawing from a deep understanding of human behavior and emotional resilience, Jody provides compassionate, evidence-informed care to individuals navigating trauma, grief, life transitions, and heartache. Jody utilizes EMDR, psychodynamic, narrative, and DBT modalities.

As an affirming and inclusive clinician, Jody is an ally to the LGBTQ+ community and strives to create a safe, supportive space where every client feels seen and valued. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and respect for each client’s lived experience. Jody believes healing begins in a nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their stories and rediscover their strength.

Outside of her clinical work, Jody enjoys reading nerdy sci-fi and fantasy books, exploring fashion, and believes life is simply incomplete without a latte.
