Wholeness Healing Today

Staff Introductions – Ruth Jones

I am excited to join the Wholeness Healing Center team! I will be working over telehealth for the time  being, but am looking forward to working in-person when it is possible.

I grew up near Minneapolis, Minnesota. I took a tour of the Midwest as I began my college career in Wisconsin, transferred and earned my undergraduate degree in Kansas City, Missouri, and then moved to central Nebraska. As I have settled into life in Nebraska, I have found that I love the community, and I can’t imagine my life anywhere else!

I have worked in Social Work since graduating with my undergraduate in 2010, and in clinical fields for about 5 years. I have experience working with youth and adolescents, families (especially in the foster and adoptive community), and with older adults. I have spent the last three years working in an intensive outpatient setting providing group and individual therapy.

I love to develop collaborative relationships with clients and help them to achieve their goals. In the last few years, I have developed a passion for working with older adults on issues pertaining to loss of independence, grief, and changing roles. I also enjoy working with children and families and the many challenges that come along with growing and changing as people and family groups. I enjoy working with each person’s unique strengths and skills to help grow into his/her healthiest and best self.

In my personal life, I stay busy with my five children. We love to travel, camp, and have a goal to see all of the national parks in the U.S. I also love to read and have made a goal for myself to read at least 100 books each year for the last several years. I also enjoy staying active in our hometown and getting to know more about our small community. To make an appointment, call 308-382-5297.
