Adjunct Modalities: Round 6, Natural Mineral Spa

Continuing the series of adjunct modalities, I would like to focus this article on a place out of state, but within easy driving distance, especially considering the benefits. Several years ago, the first year it opened in fact, a friend and I were in Hot Springs, SD and read about their newest option, Moccasin Springs. We liked what we read so promptly made plans to make a stop there that very day. Since then, I have returned to that place every year, often making plans to soak several different times when I am in the area. I have referred friends there and know several who have made it a destination.

Moccasin Springs is a natural mineral spa, open to adults only, and in addition to the soaking pools, (now total of 6 pools, different temperatures), they also have Yoga classes available, aromatherapy, massage, and recently added a sauna. In addition, there is a restaurant on site. The place is all about quiet relaxation, allowing participants to embrace the relaxation of the pools while enjoying the gorgeous flowers, the well placed seating areas, and the abundant Nature.

Services can be booked online – https://www.moccasinsprings.com or by phone (605-745-7625). They also have a Facebook page where you can read comments by others who have chosen to soak.

A 2 hour soak will leave you feeling so relaxed, as you embrace the silent opportunity to welcome one-ness with self. The healing of sitting or floating in the natural springs will seep deep into your core.

While this is in South Dakota, on more than one occasion I have left my home mid-morning and checked in for a soak that evening. It is totally worth the drive. Check out their website or Facebook page and plan a time to pamper yourself with the most relaxing soak!
