Jodi Studnicka completed her practicum at Wholeness Healing Center in the Grand Island and Broken Bow offices.  Jodi Studnicka, LCSW, LMHP  joined Wholeness Healing Center in May 2011 after receiving her Master’s of Social Work from the University of Nebraska Omaha.

Jodi’s areas of interest include working with individuals and families recovering from trauma, secondary trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief.  She works with transitional life changes, blended families, divorce, separation, infertility, neonatal and perinatal death, marriage issues, spirituality, and mind body issues. Jodi also takes a special interest and training in providing services for the older adult.

Experience
Jodi previously worked in areas of spirituality and pastoral ministry for nine years.  Jodi’s previous employment includes Blessed Sacrament Parish as a pastoral associate, St. Francis Medical Center as a hospital chaplain, and most recently as a spiritual care coordinator at AseraCare Hospice.  During those years, Jodi had the opportunity and privilege to empower individuals and their families in their healing.  She also helped families celebrate new life or death of loved ones, and grow in their spirituality. Jodi also worked as an advocate for families in the children’s mental health system where she could bring her experiences of being a foster, adoptive, and birth parent.  Jodi is currently a spiritual director, providing individual and retreat direction.

Jodi is a member National Association of Social Workers, Spiritual Directors International, and Heart-Centered Hypnotherapies Association.

Additional Training
Jodi holds a certificate in Spiritual Direction and has completed the course work for a Master’s in Christian Spirituality from Creighton University in Omaha, NE.  Jodi also completed residency in Clinical Pastoral Education from the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE.  In her graduate work, Jodi was a L.E.G.E.N.D.S. scholar at University of Nebraska Omaha which provided additional training, research, and experience in providing mental health services for the older adult.

Jodi attended training in hypnotherapy which uses a holistic approach of the mind, body, and spirit to empower individuals in making their own choices to be their best selves.  She completed the requirements for her Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapy certification at the Wellness Institute at Issaquah, WA. Most recently she completed her leadership training to lead Personal Transformative Intensive (PTI’s) and is attending ongoing trainings at the Wellness Institute.

Jodi completed Critical Incident Stress Management training for group crisis intervention.  She has also attended the Reactive Attachment Disorder training developed and trained by the Ryan Institute of Atlanta GA as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy training.

Personal
Jodi is pleased to live and work in central Nebraska and provide ongoing services to individuals, couples, and families at Wholeness Healing Center in the Grand Island office.  Jodi enjoys spending time at the lake with her husband Steve.  Jodi and Steve have two grown daughters, a son in law, and four grandchildren.  She is grateful for the time she spends with her family and watching her grandchildren grow.  Jodi also enjoys reading, traveling, gardening, and restoring their turn-of-the-century home.
