Trainings
Deb has presented to many schools concerning teaching children with oppositional behaviors and attachment disorder, including Callaway High School, Ravenna Public Schools, Sargent Public Schools, Burwell Elementary School, Broken Bow Elementary Schools, Doniphan-Trumbell schools, and elementary schools and day cares in Grand Island, as well as presenting to the Omaha Public Schools with Janie Watson on how to incorporate strong sitting in the classroom. She has also participated in presentations to support groups and to NAFPA. She enjoys helping others learn how to parent difficult children.

Special Areas
Deb loves the work involving families and is drawn to children with attachment disorder. She has attended many workshops in this area, and she has presented to schools and support groups about working with children who have suffered abandonment, abuse, and neglect in their lives. She enjoys integrating the neurological piece, working with the Brain Gym modality, and guiding parents to help their children to heal.

Deb enjoys especially working with teens and their families, as they learn how to accept ownership of their actions, discover and become more at ease with who they are, learn to accept and verbalize their feelings, and as they set out to find their places in the world.

Deb has completed the Critical Incident Stress Management Training and is a member of the CISM team, Troop D,  out of North Platte. She was a former Crisis Team Leader while teaching at Sargent Public Schools and continues as a community member and in a consultation capacity. She also is a responder for Crisis Care Network and responds to crisis, helping guide people through traumatic incidents.

Deb facilitates the Clean Break (smoking cessation) and Trim Life (weight loss and healthy living) hypnosis groups. In her clinical practice, she uses hypnosis to treat a variety of issues, from anxiety and depression, to peak performance (sports, academics) and past issues, including some mind-body issues. She also offers hypnotherapy, which is a modality which helps clients regress to past issues, process, heal, and set some new affirmations and goals. The hypnotherapy are longer sessions, which move clients through a myriad of issues, to resolution, in a shorter amount of time.  Hypnotherapy is very successful in treating trauma, as well as for past life regressions or even in dream hypnotherapy, using the unconscious to help unlock conscious blocks.

Personal
In her leisure time, Deb likes to ride horses and to kayak and through the spring and summer, heads to a river over the weekends. She also relaxes by reading and writing, mostly poetry. She raced go-karts competitively for over 20 years and enjoys watching NASCAR and most oval track racing. She also enjoys water sports, hiking, fishing and camping, as well as collecting art, especially Native American pieces, as her Cherokee and Cheyenne heritage are an integral part of her life. She owns a tipi and spends several weekends a year setting her tipi up and enjoying time with friends, educating others about American Indians and the Plains Indian way of life.
