Notes of Growth

On the Road Again – By a Client

I am going to write a testimonial regarding my therapy and how it has benefited me. Anxiety is a condition I have struggled with for many years.  Approximately 4 years ago a traumatic event unfolded in my life which I believe set off a string of reactions.  In part, I began to have an intense anxiety while driving.  I used to enjoy driving out of town to just get away and eventually, I avoided such trips.  It also started to affect my driving in town. I avoided certain sections of town, going on overpasses and the like.  I have sought counseling through many different avenues and I was ready to face and deal with what was occurring to me regarding my anxiety of driving, especially related to highway driving.  I sought out the assistance of Deb England with Wholeness Healing Center.  I was very intrigued by the option of hypnotism. My focus was to address my current  anxiety related to driving.  I so appreciated the sessions with Deb which addressed other issues and events  in my life which directly impacted and affected my life and how those applied to my current anxiety and fears.

Through counseling and sessions of relaxation and hypnosis along with 2 cd’s to listen to at home, my anxiety and fear have been conquered.  My counselor taught me techniques to utilize and helped me gain the confidence and courage to again feel safe and anxiety free while on the road. Thanks Deb!  By the way, I have become willing to stop smoking. That was the biggest part of it for me, to be willing.  I have been using the deep breathing a lot!
