Wholeness Healing Center

Dawyn Otto is a Provisional Licensed Mental Health Practitioner.  She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in May of 2017. She also completed a Master’s Degree in Elementary Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in the fall of 1989.  She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in May of 1982.  Dawyn did her internship at Wholeness Healing Center, prior to joining the team full time in June of 2017.  She works in the Grand Island office.

Experience
Dawyn provides individual, child, adolescent, couple and family therapy.  She has a special interest in working with clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and substance abuse/addictions.  Dawyn works with EAP clients using Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Her most current work experience included serving as the Employee Assistance Program Administrator with Wholeness Healing Center since 2014.

Training
Dawyn has completed training in Hypnotherapy from the Wellness Institute in Issaquah, WA.  She is currently completing her Advance Hypnotherapy training, which helps clients work through their issues, process, heal and empowers them to set some new affirmations and goals.

She has been trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Psychological First Aid.  She continues to attend training for personal and professional growth and understanding.

Personal
Dawyn is married and has one daughter.  She likes to spend time with her family and friends, walking, reading and spending time in nature. Dawyn hopes to inspire, help and empower clients to reach their best selves and greatest potential.
