Staff Introduction – Riley Smith

I am very excited to be joining Wholeness Healing Center as an Independently Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Mental Health Practitioner who will be working primarily out of our new Ord office. I will also be working one day a week in the Grand Island office.

I have been working in this field for six years and feel honored to be able to continue to provide therapy services to Central Nebraska. Growing up in Central Nebraska, I have always been passionate about bringing mental health services to rural areas. Being able to be a part of the Wholeness Healing Center team while fulfilling this passion is a great honor that aligns with my values and philosophy.

I obtained my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Iowa in 2016 and have been working as the program director of an Intensive Outpatient Program in Ord, Nebraska providing group, individual and family therapy. Prior to working in Ord, I spent time working in end of life, child welfare, and substance abuse areas and have enjoyed every experience and what it has taught me.

I find joy in working with individuals facing both external relational issues as well as internal concerns. I am passionate about individuals who have experienced trauma and am ready to assist others in order to help them gain insight towards their personal abilities. I work with individuals of all ages and am equipped with the experience and skills to help others. Within this professional relationship, I believe in aiding my clients along their journey of self-discovery and assisting them to identify their strengths in order to fulfill their wellness goals.

In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my active and busy family, camping, traveling, coaching local volleyball teams, and volunteering on various community boards and committees and engaging in local activities.
